Dinner of the Bogeymen - Mapin & Guari Book (Vol. 4)
The Dinner of the Bogeymen Mapin & Guari, Volume 4 A double-page illustration created for Mapin & Guari, Volume 4, written by Gustavo Rosseb and forthcoming from Barsa Editora. This scene portrays a family dinner between the bichos-papões, creatures inspired by Brazilian folklore and reimagined through humor, empathy, and worldbuilding. Rather than villains, they are presented as misunderstood beings living within a strange and emotional ecosystem. Each character carries its own story: Cuca wears human dentures, Fantasmaco covers himself in drawings, Tutu Marambá is a rescued giant pig, Cabeleira is made entirely of hair, and Shibamba communicates through sign language and dance. © Mapin & Guari universe and characters by Gustavo Rosseb.
